Teital Oil Mills is recognized as one of the largest producers of edible oils in Sudan. Established in 1938 in the Kordufan region, it was strategically located near a major agricultural area known for groundnut and sesame seeds. In 1967, the factory relocated to Khartoum to access international markets and quickly rose to prominence as one of the largest exporters of crude oils, including groundnut oil, sesame oil, cottonseed oil, and sunflower oils. Additionally, Teital Oil Mills produces expeller cake for animal feed and pigeon peas. Notably, in 1981, Teital Oils became the first company to introduce imported refined palm oil (olein) to the Sudanese local market.

The company was originally founded by the late Osman Mohamed Salih and Khalil Mohamed Salih. In 1967, their legacy was carried forward by Mr. Omer Osman Mohamed Salih and Mr. El Fatih Khalil Mohamed Salih, who established Teital Oil Mills in Khartoum North, Industrial Area, as a private company. Today, the company is proudly led by Ms. Sara Elfatih, the daughter of Mr. El Fatih Khalil Mohamed Salih. Her leadership marks a historic milestone, as she is the first woman to head a major edible oil manufacturing company in Sudan, producing high-quality groundnut oil and sesame oil. Under her guidance, Teital Oils continues to uphold its tradition of excellence while paving the way for a more inclusive future in Sudan’s industrial sector.
